Hospital Garden

Hospital Garden

Indie Rock (Chicago)

Raised in Michigan and Ohio and relocated to the Windy City, Hospital Garden has been glowingly compared to the likes of Built to Spill, The Flaming Lips, Cracker, Superchunk, Mercury Rev and Guided By Voices. And if that last one seems like any kind of a leap for anyone reading this, consider that Hospital Garden worked the Dayton scene after forming in 2008. One of the reviewers making the GBV connection was former GBV drummer Don Thrasher and that the band has been tapped to open for Robert Pollard himself. So there. Get with the program; line up and give some love to the psychedelically supercharged wonder of Hospital Garden.

You’ll Dig It If You Dig: Guided By Voices’ fuzzy guitar squall and lyrical cul de sacs, Pavement’s impenetrable beauty, R.E.M.’s early anthemic inscrutibility. (Brian Baker, CityBeat)
