More a “familial” band than a “family” band, Milano features two sisters, a husband and wife and three friends. But their harmonious, precision and tightness indicates some crossover shared DNA potential, at least musically. They call it “Gypsy Prog Rock,” which is about as good a description as any (mainly because there aren’t any that come close). Milano’s music is exotic and progressive, with an artsy slant, electronic undercurrent, theatrical performance flair, infectious energy and surrealistic-carnival atmosphere — which should make for a highly entertaining live show.
