Sick of Sarah

Sick of Sarah

Pop Rock (Minneapolis, Minn.)

The five early-twentysomething ladies that make up Sick of Sarah do things the old-fashioned way — by playing live, night in and night out, wherever and whenever they can find a willing audience. Together since 2005, the band has released multiple records, the most recent being this year’s 2205, an angst-ridden collection of rockers about everyday issues: song titles include “Kiss Me,” “Cigarettes” and “One Night Stand.”

~ “The women who make up this Minnesota quartet bow at the altar of riot grrls’ days gone by while simultaneously thumbing their noses at scowling chick-rock clichés. The songs are as bracing as they are familiar.... For fans of The Breeders and Sleater-Kinney.” (Spin)
