Progressive JazzGrass (Cincinnati)
After the Cincy band Moonlight Graham broke up five years ago, singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Bill Littleford and friend Nick LaBoffe (a former mandolin student of Littleford’s) decided to start something fresh and set about developing the eventual sound of The Tadcasters, an adventurous mix of Bluegrass and Roots music with Jazz, Rock and Blues underpinnings. An introductory EP last year helped them score a nomination from the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards for Bluegrass artist of the year, but, really, The Tadcasters (now a four-piece) deserve a new category.
