Punk/Glam/New Wave (Nashville)
If you think rhinestone cowboys, sincere singer/songwriters and the Grand Ole Opry are the order of the day in Nashville, the Worsties have a few needle-pegging examples in their repertoire that beg to differ. Together since 2005, the band, fronted by the frenetic Anna Worstell, churn out a mixture of ’70s Punk, ’80s Glam Pop and dancey New Wave. The quartet have amassed a loyal following and even scored some TV placements as a result. After being perpetually nominated for local music accolades, the Worsties won Best Pop/Indie Band at last year’s Nashville Independent Music Awards. Strap in and hold onto your wigs and keys; The Worsties are a wild ride.
