Rock & Roll (Washington, D.C.)

U.S. Royalty made Esquire’s list of the “50 Most Stylish Musicians of the Last 50 Years,” where they landed right between Bruce Springsteen and Eric Clapton, not bad company no matter how random the list seems. Aside from fashonistas, music lovers who appreciate a glammy strut, anthemic choruses, moody atmospherics and classic sensibilities in their Rock & Roll will find something to dig about this vintage-styled crew. The band self-released it’s first album earlier this year.

You’ll Dig It If You Dig: U2, Simple Minds, Big Country. (Mike Breen, CityBeat)

~ "Most early reviews of [Mirrors] point to the Americana element, but the band manages to include sections of skinny tie ’80s themes, cutting hook-based rock and hushed ballads." (Glide Magazine)
