Relive MPMF.11, Then Tell Us About It!

The 10th annual MidPoint Music Festival has come and gone, and a great time was had by all. Thousands of music fans explored Downtown Cincinnati and Over-the-Rhine Sept. 22-24, connecting with emerging artists from around the world and from down the street.

MidPoint's popular tweet/text visualizer system, produced by Topic Design, is now archived at Live.MPMF.com. Once you've relived everything you did at MPMF.11, take a few minutes to fill out our survey and you'll have a chance to win two free VIP Passes to MPMF.12! Details here

Did you get GLAZED during MidPoint?? Well, thanks to our friends at Busken Bakery, you still can! Busken garnered music from 25 MPMF.11 artists for you to download at igotglazed.com for FREE in honor of MidPoint's 10th anniversary! The downloads are available through November 1.

The 15th annual Cincinnati Entertainment Awards are one month away! Nominees have been announced for Cincinnati's only local music celebration, and you can vote for your favorites right now! Make plans to join us on Sunday, November 20 at the Madison Theater in Covington, where the CEAs will be doled out during what's sure to be another spectacular awards ceremony. Doors and Red Carpet festivities will open at 6pm with a 7pm showtime. Show details and ticket information will be available at CityBeat.com next week.

Bring It! The CEAs are happy to announce the return of the Trashie Fashion Awards presented by Fairmount Girls. Starting at 6pm on the Red Carpet, the Fairmount Girls' eyes for fashion, sex appeal and drama will be large and in charge. The Red Carpet proceedings will again be shown live on the Madison Theater stage video screen. Come ready to either strut your stuff or duck the camera! The Trashie Fashion Award winners will be announced at the CEA Afterparty.

But Wait, There’s More! The CEAs are very excited to have The Mad Hatter as host to the CEA Afterparty. The Mad Hatter has long served as a venue dedicated to supporting local music. Special beer pricing and a warm reception will be waiting for you only a few blocks east of the Madison Theater. The CEA Afterparty is open exclusively to nominees and CEA ticket holders.

The CEAs are the primary fundraising event for the Cincinnati USA Music Heritage Foundation. We'll be working to further their effort in highlighting Cincinnati’s musical impact on the world stage. Together we continue to demonstrate that Cincinnati’s finest natural resource and greatest exports are our musicians. The CEAs are a celebration first and an awards program second.

Please attend and celebrate the talent and devotion of your hometown music-makers!
